Gig terms

These terms are the agreement for a paid UGC gig on Affilitrak. Opening a gig means the brand agrees. Applying means the creator agrees. The gig page is part of the agreement: the product, the pay, where it ships, and whether the creator also posts the video.

Last updated September 28, 2026

1. The video

Every gig is one vertical video, 15–60 seconds, as an MP4 or MOV. It has to show what the brief on the gig says.

2. Pay

The creator is paid the amount shown on the gig, in US dollars, over PayPal. Affilitrak sends it from the funds the brand loaded.

A video-only gig pays when the brand approves the video. A posting gig pays when the post link is on the gig page, not when the video is approved. On a posting gig that amount is fixed from the follower count saved on the application. Changing the count later does not change it.

The brand pays the prices shown on the gig. Funds are loaded before a gig can open, so creators only see gigs that can pay them. An open gig holds the price of every slot, and a posting gig also holds the lowest posting rate for each slot still empty. Closing the gig puts unfilled slots back on the balance. A missed deadline does the same for that slot. Money held for an accepted creator stays held until they are paid or they miss a deadline.

3. Applying

The brand has 14 days to accept or pass. Passing ends the application, and so does the 14 days running out. Neither one owes the creator anything.

A creator who is already an approved affiliate of that brand cannot take its gig.

A posting gig is only open to a creator whose main account is on TikTok, Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, with at least 1k followers there. The follower count is the number the creator enters, and the brand can check it against the profile link. It is saved on the application.

The first application includes a shipping address in a country the gig ships to.

4. The sample

Accepting is final. The brand ships the product to the address on the application, as a free order, and pays for shipping. The order is not an affiliate sale. The creator keeps the product, including when a deadline is missed.

The brand sees the creator's name and shipping address. It does not see the creator's email or phone. After acceptance, messages about the gig stay on Affilitrak.

5. Deadlines

Missing any deadline below ends the gig for that creator. There is no payment, the slot opens for someone else, and the money for that slot goes back to the brand's balance. A message does not move a deadline.

  • The video is due 14 days after the sample ships. That starts when it ships, not when it is delivered, and not before the brand ships it.
  • If the brand asks for a revision, the new video is due 7 days after the request. Until it arrives, the brand can still approve the first video.
  • On a posting gig, the post link is due 7 days after the video is approved.

6. Review

The brand can approve the video, or ask once for a revision and say what to change. A video left unreviewed for 72 hours is approved automatically. Uploading a replacement before anyone has reviewed it starts those 72 hours over. A revision request is a review, so that video is not approved automatically.

7. Posting

Applying to a posting gig means agreeing to post it on the creator's main account within 7 days of approval, label it as an ad (#ad), and keep it up for at least 30 days. The link goes on the gig page. No link by the deadline is a missed deadline under section 5.

TikTok, Instagram, Facebook also ask for an ad code. The code is not required to be paid. The link is.

8. Usage rights

The creator lets the brand use the video in the brand's ads and on the brand's own channels. That starts when the creator is paid for the gig.

9. Disclosure

On a posting gig the creator labels the post as an ad (#ad), and follows the labeling rules of the platform it is posted on.

Questions

When does the creator get paid?

When the brand approves the video, or automatically 72 hours after the upload if the brand doesn't. On a posting gig, payment waits until the post link is in.

What if PayPal isn't on the creator's profile yet?

Add it. The gig stays owed, and the next payout check sends it. It is not paid twice.

What if a payment doesn't go through?

The gig page says our team is checking it. It is not sent again while that's open, and we email once it is.

What if the package hasn't shipped?

The 14 days have not started.

Can a deadline be extended?

No. The deadlines in these terms are the deadlines.

Does the creator send the product back?

No. The creator keeps it. The brand pays to ship it.

What if the brand closes the gig?

A creator still waiting is not selected. A creator already accepted still finishes the gig.
